The new realm in Voyage of Wonders is coming and it’s called Land of the Frozen Lakes and it has some interesting parts. Overall, it’s not that outstanding in storyline or puzzle aspect but had some fun parts and mechanics.
Land of the Frozen Lakes General & Rewards
Since the previous realms have been more on the story-telling side, Land of the Frozen Lakes comes back with more puzzle aspects and has some interesting things you need to mind when making your way through it.
I will not spoiler the storyline or anything, but it’s important to mind that stepping on any ice tile will make you slide right across and fighting any enemy camp with the 2x Etrilda/3x Cecilia comp will put you right into jail. There’s actually only one occasion you really want to do this but that will be below in the full walkthrough for Land of the Frozen Lakes.
Rewards have been ups and downs recently with rather tough downs and not that big highs. Hard truth now, Land of the Frozen Lakes is a downer when it comes to rewards. The main reward is basically 10x Faction Scrolls and you also get the regular Elemental Cores/Shards, Booster Choice Chests, Furniture Coins and Emblems from it:
I really don’t want to justify much here, looking at the rewards it’s nothing to be happy about but with all the other events and things going on right now where rewards are pretty nice it’s kind of no surprise that Lilith was short on rewards for Land of the Frozen Lakes…

Land of the Frozen Lakes Walkthrough
As always, you will find a full walkthrough for the realm here. With that being said, let’s not waste any more time and jump right into the walkthrough for Land of the Frozen Lakes.
Please mind that I don’t mention every Golden Chest that you need to collect individually. If you see one, take it 🙂

Step 1 – right at the start you need to talk to the soldier (1) and he will give you a brief introduction to the storyline and the special “features” of the Land of the Frozen Lakes map. The step to the left and you will see how you slide across any ice tiles and this is happening on the whole map with any ice tile… You can already use this feature in the next step by stepping on the left ice tile (2) to get to the upper right direction.
Then clear the two camps in front of the Golden Chests (3), no need to clear the other ones.
Important!!! Please mind I have left out battles on purpose! Only fight the camps that I show in my walkthrough or you will get into the prison for no reason and have to fight your way through. It’s super annoying (best case) or can break your team (worst case)
By the way… No worries I will describe the following steps faster, that was just the introduction, this is not going to become a 5,000 word guide in The Land of the Frozen Lakes 😉
Step 2 – then also clear the camp with the Golden Chest at the bottom of your current section(1) and return to the previous section via the ice tiles. Now use the other ice tile to go the other direction (2). Mind that you have to go manually tile-by-tile around that corner, the AI will always make you step again on the ice taking you in the wrong direction.
In the next section you only need to step on the next tile (3) to get to the right section where The Land of the Frozen Lake’s storyline continues.
Step 3 – collect the Golden Chests there that you can reach without battles and go to the right and beat the camp in the forest (1) and don’t forget to also collect the Golden Chest there as well. Then step on the ice tile (2) and it will take you across the frozen lake and you need to fight the camp there as well (3):
Step 4 – now go to the top or back (1) and step on the Frozen Lake again to get back to the previous section to proceed to the next section by stepping on the very right ice tile (2). The you need to fight the very left camp only (3) and proceed the path to the left top there and pick the Golden Chest.
Step 5 – now you need to attack one camp setup that will put you into prison (1). You remember, I told you not to attack them in the previous steps and this is the only time that you have to do it on purpose for clearing The Land of the Frozen Lakes.
So, you will find yourself in the prison now where you need to talk to the Princess (2) and then you have to fight your way out to the left side. Then fight through the camps (3) to get back to the previous section.
Step 6 – step on the same ice tile as in the previous step (1) and then to the bottom on the next ice tile (2). There you will find two camps and one Golden Chest that you need to clear (3) before stepping on the next ice tile there that will take you to the next section.
Step 7 – fight through the camp there as well and you will find yourself on the right side of the map of the Land of the Frozen Lakes. Clear the camp there (1) and then go to the bottom of the section (2) and also clear the camp there and step on the ice tile behind it. There you need to use the green lever (3) and then step on the right ice tile as shown in the image below:
Step 8 – there you need to collect the Golden Chest and then step on the next ice tile (1). There clear the path (2) and use the yellow lever only (3). Now return the path to get back to the section you’ve been in Step 7.
Step 9 – now go behind the yellow stone that will reveal access to the lake now (1) and step on it, there you will get to a small section with a Golden Chest (2) that you need to collect and then step on the next ice tile below it. This will take you to the red lever (3) that you need to pull and then return the way back to (1).
Step 10 – now you need to pull the yellow lever once more (1). Follow Steps 7 & 8 there but don’t use the green lever this time on your path. And then return back. Now you can pass the path with the red and yellow stone (2). Then you will make it to the final section with the last Golden Chests and the final Crystal Chest.
You have now beaten The Land of the Frozen Lakes unless you have missed out any Golden Chests on your way. But you can now talk around the map freely and unless you do any more battles you will not get inside the prison 🙂
