We always see different events in AFK Arena, sometimes even more than one at the same time.
Some have the option to use their access to the beta servers to see what event are coming up, which helps a lot in planning ascensions ahead when you see what hero copy you possibly can get in the next event.
In this article here I will keep you updated with the upcoming events in AFK Arena so you know exactly what’s coming next 🙂
Upcoming Events
Currently, the following events are on the beta servers and you can expect them to drop soon:
Celestial Islands Event (June 16th, 2020)
Another round of Celestial Island is coming and it looks quite promising. I know lots of you don’t like these type of events as they are heavily based on luck, but rewards and also structure looks a lot improves and it seems like the developers have heard our feedback.
There will be 10 floors before we can get heroes with the main rewards being one Stargazer Card each floor, but you will get keys from Daily Tasks, AFK Rewards and also the upcoming Depths of Time 2 Voyage of Wonders.
From Daily Tasks you will get 15 keys every day and Voyage of Wonders will give you 60 keys in total. I don’t know yet how much you get from AFK Rewards but it’s not impossible to get one floor done every day and with 12 days event you have a decent chance to get to FLoor 10 and finally get a hero as the main price.
And the heroes are really good this time, including Khazard and Talene!
Also with Lucius, Saurus, Oscar, Skriath, Tasi, you have nice options as well as 15x Stargazer Cards and Faction Emblem Chests for those that need them.
I personally find the reward structure a lot better now and I’m really positive that even as F2P you will be able to get at least to Floor 10 before the event is over.
Current Events
Here are the current events:
Abyssal Expedition (June 3rd, 2020)
With update 1.39 we get a new guild ground event coming. There are not many details out there but it will be in the guild ground and you will fight along with your guild.
The official statement:
“Drive out the evil occupiers from the settlements along side your allies and expand your territories. It will take place on an unprecedentedly large map and require thorough resource cooperation! More details soon!”
Lost Sigils (May 17th, 2020)
Another Lost Sigils is incoming and the rewards in the test server are some interesting heroes as well as Faction Scrolls, Fooder Cards, Emblems and also Reroll Scrolls for gear.
After having checked the rewards structure, I can recommend you to go for the Emblem Chests, they have the best value as heroes are quite expensive this time (unless you are one or two heroes away from ascending one of those heroes).
Reroll Scrolls are really terrible given how expensive they are and you’re not guaranteed to get the faction through re-rolling (chance is 20% basically).
Faction Scrolls also have a nice value and grabbing enough will give you a guaranteed epic with 30 scrolls so also not a bad pick.
Double Delights (May 14th, 2020)
Double Delights will double all rewards you get during your AFK time from the AFK Chest.
You can also get more out of it as it will double from the point when the event starts so if you stop collecting your AFK Reward and collect it after the start of the event, you will also get all of that doubled without any additional effort.
Bontiful Counties (May 7th, 2020)
You will get double the bounty board rewards (except team bounties) during this event. Make sure to use the re-roll to get bounty quests that will reward you with Dust. Gold and Diamonds are not that valuable and you can get a huge amount of Dust that you can use a lot more than getting 60 additional Diamonds!
Daily Mazes (April 30th, 2020)
Starting on April 30th we will have 8 days of daily lab runs so you can earn a nice amount of extra lab token to turn into heroes during this event.
If you run multiple accounts you might have a tough week in front of you and I also understand those of you that don’t like the Arcana Lab that much (because it’s quite boring) to not look forward to this event that much but, hey, it’s extra tokens and you don’t need to do it 😉
One Year Anniversary Event (April 13th, 2020)
To celebrate the first anniversary of the global release of AFK Arena we will see a full event with some really nice rewards to collect!
In total we can get an epic copy of either Brutus, Oscar, Tasi, Wu Kong or Shemira just by clicking the event plus 888 Diamonds and several Vibrant Blooms (more on that below) just by signing into the game every day during the event week.
Now you probably might wonder what the Vibrant Blooms are and what you can do with them, right?
This will be an event like we’ve seen it with Shadow Nemora or Ice Shemira before but this time we have a completely new boss that we can fight to earn Vibrant Blooms that we can use to hopefully unlock some nice rewards.
The Soul Reaver
The boss we will fight is called Azmonath in the Soul Reaver event and I will write a full guide about team setups in the coming days.
This will be a boss that will drop up to 100 Vibrant Blooms every day when you fight him and you can use them to randomly unlock rewards.
Verdant Valley
This is the event where you can finally spend your earned Vibrant Blooms for several rewards:
As you can see there are different rewards on the table that you will unlock randomly and you can also choose between several epic heroes as your ultimate reward (with some luck or a big pocket full of cash you can unlock multiple ones).
Spring Bloom
This is already a lot but there will also be the Spring Bloom Event that will give us a new skin for Tasi (I already posted about this here).
Unfortunately, you will have to spend at least some real money to unlock the skin as you need to complete all 15 tasks to unlock the Spring Bloom Tasi skin:
- Share new or summoned heroes on Facebook 5 times
- Make a purchase worth any amount
- Acquire 1 elite Lightbearer hero during the event
- Send 100 Companion Points
- Defeat 10 Lightbearer heroes in the Arena of Heroes
- Acquire 1 elite Graveborn hero during the event
- Defeat 10 Graveborn heroes in the Arena of Heroes
- Acquire 1 elite Mauler hero during the event
- Use Fast Rewards 10 times
- Acquire 1 elite Wilder hero during the event
- Participate in 15 Guild Hunts
- Defeat 10 Mauler heroes in the Arena of Heroes
- Acquire all rewards in Voyage of Wonders (see my full guide here)
- Defeat 10 Wilder heroes in the Arena of Heroes
- Make a purchase worth any amount
As I said, you will need to complete all 15 so you will have to make at least 2 purchases (can also use the 99 cent ones) plus complete the Voyage of Wonders realm that starts at the same time.
Legends’ Prestige (March 27th, 2020)
This is basically a daily reward for your highest rank in Legend’s Challenger Tournament and each chest will reward you with either 3, 5 or 50 Battle Badges (the currenty you use to trade in rewards, more on that below):
Gladiatorial Merits (March 27th, 2020)
Gladiatorial Merits are basically like the daily tasks that will give you also Battle Badges that you can trade-in for rewards:
You probably now ask what the rewards are, right? Well, they look real nice with some nice heroes (but I can’t tell so far if it’s realistic to get them without spending additional money):
Overall a nice new event with a nice shot on some valuable characters. I hope it drops soon but it’s right now on the test server so you can be sure to see it soon.
Heroes of Espiria (March 13th, 2020)
Heroes of Espiria is another event in January that is one that is similar to the Arena of Heroes where you fight and defend with a team.
Each point you earn will count towards your total score which determines the league you’re placed in – and your league will at the end decide what prizes you will get.
You have 3 daily attacks in Heroes of Espiria that you can use and you should pretty much use the same strategy that you would use in the Arena of Heroes.
Right after the start you get placed in a range where your opponents are at least the same strength, I found them even being tougher than myself – nevertheless, you will get the prizes that you would have unlocked on the path anyway, which is some nice Gold and Dust 🙂
Lost Sigils (March 2nd – 10th, 2020)
Lost Sigils is back and you probably already know how it works – you can do 6 attempts to players with similar strength and depending on what hero factions you use you will get emblems that you can trade in for rewards:
Event will last for 9 days but you can only battle 7 days, the last two days are only for getting rewards.
Mind that all token you have left over will disappear so spend all of them in the end!
A Sweet Romance (February 8th – 18th, 2020)
Is basically collecting items that can be found in the Arcane Lab, Daily Chest and also from Event Deals.
You will be able to then exchange them for heroes, shards and more in the same way we have seen it from other events:
Floral Flirtation
Here you will have a daily battle with a global leaderboard that will give you better rewards. We’ve also seen this so far and I hope to get my hands on the rewards soon so I can post them here:
Winter Bounties Event (Burning Brute) – (January 22nd – February 1st 2020)
On the test servers, we have update 1.31 which will make its way to the regular servers in the next week probably (including new Voyage of Wonders, new hero, the new Elder Tree system and much more). But let’s get back to topic…
There will also be a new event similar to the one at Holloween with Dark Nemora or the one we had around Christmas with Ice Shemira – it’s called Bruning Brute and it’s a dragon-style boss that we can attack with a team once every day and then turn in the rewards we get for heroes and other rewards.
You can, however, restart the battle as often as you want to if your don’t like the amount of Astrobells you got (Astrobells are the bells you can see on the left side to exchange for rewards…)
As you can see there are some nice hero selections or Summon Scrolls or Fragments for the Signature Items up to get pulled.
The whole event will last for 12 days (according to the test servers) and I can’t tell you how many of these bells you can earn every day, yet.
Looks like an event with a lot of fun and I personally look forward to see this on the live servers 🙂

Heroes of Espiria (January 6th – January 16th)
Heroes of Espiria is another event in January that is one that is similar to the Arena of Heroes where you fight and defend with a team.

Assembly of Heroes (January 1st – January 30th)
Assembly of Heroes is an event that started with the new year and it requires you to obtain 150 Elite heroes in total to get the ultimate prize – a Brutus skin that no one knows how it looks like.
So, 150 Epic heroes might sound much but it also counts all the heroes you already got (max 120 count toward the event) , so most of us only need to get 30 epic heroes within the month of January – which sounds reasonable to me.
The nice thing is, you will get 10x Summon Scrolls for a total of 25 Epic heroes and a Hero Choice Chest for 50 Epic heroes (should be most of us).
The Hero Chest contains either 10x Factional Summon or 1x Epic copy of Nemora, Lucius, Khasos or Nara – actually really strong options with the fact in midn that we don’t need to do anything other than playing AFK Arena 😀
Midwinter Festivities (December 11th – December 29th)
Right on track for Christmas we have the Midwinter Festivities as an event – this event has two stages.
You might remember this kind of roaster – yes, we can use keys to unlock fields and with some luck we’re able to unlock some nice hero copies.
I know many of you don’t have the best memories to the last time we had this kind of reward structure because it can also happen that you won’t be able to pull the top prize with the amount of keys we have – but still, it’s something you get for paying nothing 😉
These are the heroes that you can get in the Midwinter Special roaster:
Earning keys has two different way:
Stage #1 – Ice Shemira
Similar to the Halloween event with Nemora we can fight Ice Shemira for the chance to get Winter Keys that we can use to unlock some nice rewards.
You can earn 5 keys every day from fighting Ice Shemira.

Stage #2 – Midwinter Feast
Midwinter Feast is the second part of this event after ice Shemira disappeared – you and you guild members do send certain heroes on missions and you can earn additional keys to unlock more fields of the Midwinter Festivities roaster.
